Europe - 14 Day Whilrwind! If you have one go at visiting the best of Europe, consider this trip.

AMSTERDAM

HOTEL - CitizenM Hotel, walking distance from airport. The rooms were incredibly unique, on the smaller side, but super neat.

TRAVEL - Once settled in, we attempted to take the train into town where we were met with a message of the train being inoperable. We took a taxi deeper into Amsterdam to explore. Walked around exploring the picturesque canals. We quickly learned that the sidewalks have lanes similar to a street, although these are for bikes. We didn't have the time to ride bikes around the city, but with that being the biggest mode of transportation here, it'd be a very beautiful way to see the city.

VENICE

HOTEL - Very old hotel, yet neat and clean. This floors were slanted, adding character to the very old building holding many travelers.

TRAVEL - Flew from Amsterdam, then took water taxis through the canals of Venice to our hotel. After settled we walked around the city, it's a relatively small place to be able to walk around, just make sure to have a printed or downloaded map as it can get confusing quick.

ROME

HOTEL - Very nice location, big breakfast in the morning.

TRAVEL - Arrived from train from Venice. While trains take longer, they're typically more comfortable. Took a bus tour including six different stops of some of the biggest historical spots in Rome including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Sistine Chapel, and more. Allowed us to take some time at each spot, and over the course of a couple days. We were a little bit rushed, but when looking at something so incredible, how could you ever have enough time to take in every little bit.

POMPEII

TRAVEL - Booked with a tour group and took a 2-3 hour long bus ride down to Pompeii. Super comfortable and big bus, made a stop halfway in a small town for a break. This was a day trip for us, got a partially guided tour and time to walk around and explore ourselves.

PARIS

HOTEL - Was deep into Paris, but far enough away from the Eiffel Tower to not have the prices through the roof.

TRAVEL - Took a train from Rome over to Paris and then just took a taxi to our hotel. Once getting transportation into the city, we walked around quite a bit. The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and Arc de Triomphe are within a few miles of each other, so it could be a long walk, but stopping at a patisserie for a treat on the way is a great start!

LONDON

TRAVEL - Arrived by train after taking Eurostar through the "Chunnel" which is an underwater tunnel under the English Channel! Very neat and relaxing experience.  Also rode the Tube around the city. Saw Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, all by walking from one to the other. The other side of the River Thames held The London Eye and so many more that are still within walking distance.
